Privacy Policy

This site is operated by Andy Ritchie as a personal brand and consulting practice. When this policy says 'I' or 'my', it means Andy Ritchie. When it says 'you', it means anyone visiting imandyritchie.com or subscribing to the newsletter.

I keep the data collection on this site deliberately minimal. Here is the complete list.

Newsletter signups. When you subscribe through any form on this site, I collect your email address and, when you provide it, your first name. This is stored in SendFox, my email service provider.

Consultation bookings. When you book a call through the /consult page, you are redirected to TidyCal. TidyCal collects the information needed to schedule the call (name, email, answers to any intake questions). I see this through my TidyCal account.

Google Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept the cookie banner, the site loads Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled. GA tells me which pages people read, how long they stay, and roughly where they came from. If you decline the banner, GA never loads and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your decision any time through the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer.

Server logs. My hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs with IP addresses, user agents, and timestamps for security and performance purposes. I do not analyze or aggregate these logs.

Nothing else. No Facebook Pixel, no TikTok pixel, no retargeting tools, no session recording, no heatmaps, no advertising networks. Analytics is deliberately opt-in and that is the only third-party tool on the site.

Newsletter email. I send the weekly Sunday email and, for /start signups, a seven-week Getting Started autoresponder sequence. That is the only reason I have your email.

Consulting. If you book a call, I use the information you submit to TidyCal to prepare for the call and follow up afterward. I do not use it for anything else.

I do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing. I do not train AI models on subscriber data.

Unsubscribe any time. Every email I send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are off both the main list and any sequence.

Delete your data. Email imandyritchie@gmail.com with 'delete my data' in the subject line. I will remove your record from SendFox and, if applicable, TidyCal within 30 days.

Export your data. Email the same address with 'export my data' and I will send you whatever I have on record.

If you are in the EU, UK, California, or any other jurisdiction with specific data rights, the same process applies. I treat every request the same way regardless of where you are.

Cookies on this site fall into two buckets.

Strictly functional. Vercel (the host) may use a small number of essential cookies for routing and security. These are set regardless of your cookie preference and cannot be turned off without breaking the site.

Analytics (opt-in only). If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets its standard cookies (_ga, _ga_* and similar). These are used to count page views and measure engagement. They are not used for advertising. Decline the banner and none of these are set.

Your cookie choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key `cookie-consent`. That is not a cookie, but you should know it exists so you can clear it if you want to start fresh. Or use the 'Cookie preferences' link in the footer.

This site is not directed at children under 13 and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you think a child has signed up for the newsletter, email me and I will remove the record.

I will update this page when my practices change. If the change is material (new data collected, new third-party tools, anything that affects how your data is used), I will say so in the newsletter and update the date at the top of this page.
